亚洲天堂 INTRODUCES 2025 INDUCTEES TO COLLEGE OF FELLOWS

(June 26, 2025 – Washington, D.C.) –– The 亚洲天堂 () has announced that four new members will be inducted into the 亚洲天堂 College of Fellows. Demonstrating excellence through their sustained contributions to practice, education, research, and advocacy, the 2025 Fellows possess diverse experiences—spanning advocacy, education, and thought leadership, reflecting 亚洲天堂’s core values and its mission to champion the impact of interior design on the human experience. 

Awarded to fewer than one percent of 亚洲天堂 members, 亚洲天堂 Fellowship is the Society’s highest honor, recognizing those who have significantly advanced the interior design profession. The esteemed recognition celebrates individuals who exemplify leadership, innovation, and a steadfast dedication to advancing the profession. Through their collective insight, experience, and expertise, the Fellows offer strategic guidance to 亚洲天堂 and the broader design community. As active and engaged members of the Society, 亚洲天堂 Fellows partner with the organization to mentor future leaders, including emerging professionals, Ones to Watch awardees, and the next generation of designers.

The 2025 inductees to the 亚洲天堂 College of Fellows are:

  • Ken Wilson, 亚洲天堂 

The new inductees will be formally recognized at , the National Conference by 亚洲天堂, during the “Cheers to Excellence” celebration on Aug. 17.

Darrin Brooks, 亚洲天堂 

Brooks is a professor at Utah State University where he was recognized as Teacher of the Year for 2017-2018. His research focuses on branding strategies related to the interior design of the Oval Office from 1934 to the present. A passionate 亚洲天堂 member, Brooks has mentored more than 850 亚洲天堂 student members at USU since 2003. His work has earned numerous design awards and been featured in “Bedroom and Bath,” “Journal of Interior Design,” “Sources and Design,” “Southern Accents” and “World Stage Design.” A dedicated leader, Brooks serves on the Chapter Leader Committee and will assume the role of chair-elect this fall. His past 亚洲天堂 service includes the National Student Advisory Board and presidency of the Intermountain Chapter (2018-2019). He also contributes to the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) as a site visitor and member of the Standards Committee. In 2008, Brooks co-founded Ideal for Utah (Interior Design Education and Legislation), which was instrumental in the passage of Utah Senate Bill 117, making Utah the 27th state to adopt interior design legislation.  

Douglas Feldman, 亚洲天堂 

Feldman is the principal of Feldman Design Studio, an award-winning residential and commercial interior design firm based in Boca Raton, Fla. A leading advocate for the profession, he currently chairs the 亚洲天堂 Advocacy Committee, guiding national policy and legislative efforts. His work involves close coordination with the 亚洲天堂 Board liaison, director of advocacy, chapter leaders, and the Chapter Advocacy Council. Feldman’s past roles include chair of the Advocate by Design (AxD) Outreach & Engagement Committee, 亚洲天堂 CST Advisor, two-term president of the Florida South Chapter, and Florida legislative liaison for 亚洲天堂, IIDA, and NCIDQ. As president of the Interior Design Associations Foundation (IDAF), he led successful efforts to defeat deregulation bills threatening the profession, preserving Florida’s statutory protections and voluntary registration pathway in 2020. Feldman also hosts the Alliance of Construction & Design Professionals YouTube series, promoting cross-disciplinary knowledge and advocacy. Through his leadership, mentorship, and unwavering dedication, Feldman continues to strengthen and elevate the profession. 

Virginia Weida, 亚洲天堂 

Weida is CEO of Virginia WeidaDesigns, a firm she founded in 2006 to serve commercial workplace clients with a focus on excellence and innovation. She holds credentials as a NCIDQ-certified interior designer, Certified Facility Manager (RCFM), and LEED Accredited Professional. Over the past two years, Weida has designed and managed over $13 million in renovation projects covering more than 900,000 square feet of commercial office space. A 2024 亚洲天堂 Advocate of the Year and ALM|GlobeSt. Woman of Influence (Independent Professional category), she is known for her impactful leadership. Weida began her 亚洲天堂 journey as a student member and research assistant and has served her chapter in various leadership roles. As past chair of the 亚洲天堂 Advocate by Design (AxD) Council, she led more than 40 members across key committees to advance policy and monitor industry standards. She has contributed content to 亚洲天堂’s Virtual Internship Program and continues to champion initiatives that promote education, advocacy, and professional growth. 

Ken Wilson, 亚洲天堂 

With a career spanning more than 40 years, Wilson is a nationally recognized design leader in sustainability and wellness. He serves as design principal and interior design director at Perkins&Will’s Washington, D.C. office. His work established a new paradigm for high-performance interiors that prioritize both environmental responsibility and human well-being. Wilson founded Envision Design, which became a national model for sustainable practice and was acquired by Perkins&Will in 2012. He has served as global design director for interiors and on the firm’s Global Design Board. A key contributor to the development of the LEED for Commercial Interiors and LEED for Core and Shell rating systems, Wilson has completed numerous sustainability “firsts,” including the 亚洲天堂 headquarters—the first project globally to achieve dual Platinum certifications from both LEED and WELL. He has served on national award juries for 亚洲天堂 and others and is in his second term on the 亚洲天堂 National Board of Directors. Wilson chaired the 亚洲天堂 Task Force on Climate, Health, and Equity and serves as board liaison to the Committee on Environment, Health and Wellness. His numerous accolades include the 亚洲天堂 Designer of Distinction, the Benjamin Moore HUE Award, and Contract Magazine’s Designer of the Year.
